The L.A Clippers Come Up Short in Their Pre-Season Opener Versus the Utah Jazz.

HONOLULU — The Los Angeles Clippers look to keep both their stars in rhythm but also healthy as they attempt to compete for the franchise’s first ever championship.

But their star Guard, Russell Westbrook did not play in the team’s preseason opener against the Utah Jazz which raises questions already.

Can the Clippers stay healthy?

Forward Marcus Morris also sat out with a left groin strain.

Westbrook and forward Nicolas Batum were held out for rest.

The game took place Sunday night in Honolulu, Hawaii at the University of Hawaii’s Stan Sheriff Center.

The Clippers’ loss the game 101-96.

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George only played 15 minutes each in the first half of the game.

Kawhi went 4/8 from the field ending with 11 points. He also logged 2 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 assist.

His counterpart Paul George went 3/7 with 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists with two steals.

Point guard Bones Hyland was the leading scorer for the Clippers with 18 points in 24 minutes.

He also added 4 assists and 2 blocks.
