MJ Bizcon was held in Las Vegas Nevada at the Las Vegas convention center.
The “Diversity Village” is a special section of the annual Marijuana Business Conference and Expo (also known as MJBizCon) that focuses on promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the cannabis industry. The Diversity Village features exhibitors and speakers who represent underrepresented communities, including people of color, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and individuals with disabilities.
The purpose of the Diversity Village is to highlight the importance of diversity and inclusion in the cannabis industry and to provide a space for individuals from underrepresented communities to connect with each other and with industry leaders. The village features panels and presentations on a variety of topics related to diversity and inclusion, such as social equity programs, cannabis policy and legislation, and building inclusive workplaces.
The MJBizCon Diversity Village was first introduced in 2019 and has continued to be a prominent feature of the conference since then. Its presence highlights the growing recognition within the cannabis industry of the need for greater diversity and inclusion, both as a matter of social justice and as a way to strengthen the industry as a whole.
