Ball Family is Ball-in

Lavar Ball predicted just a few years ago that all 3 of his sons would be playing in the NBA, at the same time, on the same team. Now it didn’t quite work out that way, but with Lamelo Ball going number 3 overall in the 2020 draft to the Charlotte Hornets, and LiAngelo Ball signing a one year non guarantee deal with the Detroit Pistons, they join their older brother Lonzo Ball playing in the NBA. Lavar Ball received a lot of criticism for some of the decisions he made when it came to his sons high school and college, or lack there of, careers. He pulled his son Lamelo Ball out of high school, and sent him to play professionally in Lithuania. LiAngelo Ball opted to play overseas as well instead of going to college.

History has been made with Lonzo ball going number 2 in the 2017 NBA draft, and Lamelo Ball going number 3 in this years draft, they are the first brothers to go number 2 and number 3 in NBA history. There is another triple set of brothers in the league right now as we speak, whom are the Holiday brothers. Jrue, Justin, and Aaron Holiday are all in the NBA, with Jrue currently playing for the Milwaukee Bucks, and Justin and Aaron playing for the Indiana Pacers. Sean Holiday, their father was never in the news or media, so these brothers didn’t make huge headlines, but did make history themselves. The Ball family have made it look easy with Lavar’s bold claims coming to fruition.

The Ball brothers have been making noise in gyms across America in AAU tournaments years ago. Families would literally watch the Ball family’s game over their own kids games at these AAU tournaments. The Ball brothers dominated high school basketball at Chino Hills. Won a state title and put the Inland Empire on the map. Big O, (Onyeka Okongwu) was also part of that Chino Hills state title with the Ball brothers and he also went number 6 in this years draft making 3 high school teammates be 3 of the top 6 picks in the draft. That hasn’t happened before. Four players who played on the same team in high school all in the NBA. Give these young men credit because they all worked hard to get where they are no doubt. It’s ok for people to admit they were wrong about Lavar Ball. What can you say about the man, he all of his sons are getting paid very well to do what they love. No Lavar wasn’t out to get rich off of his sons, Lavar already had a nice house in Chino Hills and drove nice cars. Lavar Ball was never hurting for money. You may not agree with the way he chose to parent on camera, but what was done off camera is what got his boys to the top. Results don’t lie.
